We're excited to welcome back two fan favorite wines to the tasting room, Lake Hope Rosé, and Lily of the Valley. In this article we explore these two wine blends a bit more, read on for the details!
Both wines are now pouring in the tasting room and available for online purchase.
Lake Hope Rosé
Lake Hope Rosé features aromas of rose petals with flavors of ripe berries and ruby grapefruit. This wine is a blend of five grapes grown from several vineyards throughout Ohio. Our Hocking Hills Winery Estate Vineyards provided the Traminette grapes, which make up 23% of the wine. The Catawba and LaCrescent grapes come from Knox County. The balance of the wine is made from Riesling and Regent grapes from the shores of Lake Erie.
Lily of the Valley
Lily of the Valley (pictured above) is made from the Vidal Blanc grape, grown near Seneca Lake, OH. Aromas of grapefruit lead the way to flavors of honeydew melon and honeysuckle. Pairs well with salads, fruit and cheese plates, and chicken. The wine is sweetened to 4% residual sugar, making it a semi-sweet wine; wonderful for a sunny afternoon.
